Komal Kooduvalli is a PhD student in the Sustainability department at Rochester Institute of Technology. Her background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Zoology from St. Joseph’s College (Bangalore, India), and a Masters in Sustainability from Chatham University (Pittsburgh). Additionally, she has experience performing life cycle assessments and embodied energy calculations for various prototyped novel composite and biomaterial applications. Her research currently focuses on understanding the circularity of e-plastics (electronic plastics) within the US.
Komal’s dream is to visit Antarctica someday. She enjoys playing various sports, learning about new cultures, tasting new foods, and she can always cook up a mean chai!
